Cute, Funny Little Boxes

Tutorial 4, Set 2.9, No. 9

Ok, the question is ------------- (1)

Solution is of form

We can getwithout problem. Now comes the part.

We let and

Then and

------------------------- substitute these into (1)

The term cancels out. (This means A can hold any value?)

By comparing coefficients,

----------------- (2)

, substitute into (2)

We get which matches the answer.

Therefore, which would be correct except for that term. (A is supposed to be 1)

Ah. I see blogspot can't display math equations properly. So readers, that means we will never have any maths discussion on this blog. (Yay~!)

Nah. Just curious how math equations will look on blogspot. Apparently they look like cute, funny little boxes of void, empty space.

As a reward to all my readers to let you know how much I appreciate all of you, I offer a prize (yes, a prize!) to the one who, in the fastest possible time, starting now, can fill in the blanks of each cute, funny little box of void, empty space with the correct maths equations!

Ah. I'm so gonna regret posting this entry.

Readers,

This is actually a maths problem I need help with. But since it doesn't show up well here, and I'm lazy to type in html... let's forget it and admire the cute, little funny boxes of void, empty space.

(Note to self: Never blog at 4a.m.)
