I Need Oil

2:20 am, me reading blogs, kinda bored, hands filled with insect bites cause that's what insects do... they bite. Oh sorry got off topic. 2:20am, phone double-beeps, indicating a new message.

Friend: Hey, how's everything going? Wanna ask u, {course name}{author's name}{chapter number}{followed by alien language}. Are these in the syllabus?
Me: No it's not (uncertainty: 10%). Omg you're awake too! Let's online lah.
Friend: I'm back home now. No internet. Anyway, that chapter has {more alien words} and {even more alien language}... I thought we learnt that?
Me: No, we didn't (uncertainty: 5%). Don't lie lah, no internet. Come come on9 :P
Friend: Kena cut ady. Anyway, if so, that means it's until {familiar English term. omg!} only? Kinda short chapter compared to the lecture notes, don't you think?
Me: Erm... (now uncertainty: 70%). Why don't you use the lecture notes instead?
Friend: Coz mine is not complete :P So much to study! Add oil!!
Me: I need oil! I really need it! I lack motivation to study :(
Friend: Get from ESSO! Hehe! My motivation is I don wanna repeat the exams. But probably will anyway...
Me: Hey, studies is only once in a lifetime. Repeat it all you want. Wanna rush to the working world?

(Friend takes very long to respond... Every part of body starts to grow mold... except the fingers which are still moving...)

Friend: Sigh... think about the cost needed to study one more year in Penang, don't wanna burden and disappoint my parents.
Me: (*snaps back to reality. Eyes bulge out, face static >> O.o "What am I doing with my life?!")
Me: Sigh... you're right. I guess that's motivation enough. But I really hate our subjects this sem.
Friend: Ha. Same goes for quantum mechanics next sem. Guess I'll go sleep.
Me: Ya, me too.

Feeling very uninspired, lost, tired, melancholic, semi-conscious and (just one more adjective, what is ittt....) annndd...
