Are You a (Valid) Voter?
Are you a voter? Find out in the Election Commission of Malaysia's site.
I am a voter. Fast, hassle-free and efficient!
Back to the Commission's website, I keyed in my IC number hoping to see myself acknowledged as a registered voter. Imagine my shock when I saw this...
A further check revealed that both my parents' addresses are still listed wrongly, to a house we have no idea belongs to whom. My parents had been voting for an unrelated constituency for years, and took the opportunity to update their addresses when I registered.

Am I? Are they really?

Post notes:
1. Commission has two 'm's.
2. Wondering what 'Checking to ...' means? It's a literal translation from 'Semakan ke-...'

i'm as confused as u r. all members of my family are at the same place of voting but not my daughter. She was asked to hav her place of voting corrected by filling in a form. A check at the Commission's website showed nothing's been changed. I wonder what's the registration exercise is for. shocking........
the SPR update the list like 2-3 times a year...so no luck for u if the GE is this year, u dun get to vote
Thanks anons. I don't like the thought of not being able to vote even though I've registered.
