Tick

Millions of thoughts pass through our minds in a day. In a second, you could feel strangely nostalgic, remembering an emotional attachment to a certain sight, smell, taste or touch. The next second, you could be whipping yourself back to reality. Your eyes suddenly smarten as you try to take in the surroundings.

I try to capture one second of thoughts in the diluted form of words here -- so limited are words that so much essence of the moment is usually lost -- and I let them go, to let new thoughts in. Hence, I am amazed that some of my friends can quote sentences from my blog posts.

I guess it's true what they say, that friends are the ones that sing your songs back to you when you've already forgotten them. Or something like that.

Everything changes. It is beyond the capability of one human being to experience every sight, every sound, every taste and every touch; much less remember them. You close your eyes and 'hear' the seconds pass by...

1... 2... 3... 4... 5...

Welcome to five seconds later of your life.
