"What's wrong with the world?"

Few days ago (Saturday, to be exact), I chatted with my friend Liz, who's also in the middle of her exams. She's locked herself in her room for some time, and hasn't being catching up with the news...

Liz: so wat has been going on in the world 4 the past week?
Me: hmmm... britney got a divorce
Liz: ha????
Liz: really?
Me: yup
Liz: gosh. why?
Me: "irreconcilable differences" - it's always the same reason...
Liz: haha...yup
Liz: marriage is soo trivial 2 them

Me: oh ya, another big news...

Me: (yup, very little good news nowadays)
Liz: who's that?
Liz: never heard of her la

Liz: then?
Me: her dad ran faster. 15 mins later he backtracked & found her by the roadside... raped
Liz: oh my gosh
Me: i mean, she went out w/ her dad!
Liz: seriously nobody is safe anywhere with anybody
Me: yea sigh
Me: it's depressing stuff. sorry...
Liz: wat's wrong with the world?

Liz's question struck me as a damned good one. Indeed, what has gone wrong with the world?

To top it all off, we have a pervertic technician who zooms his camera into a journalist's thighs and blames it on her sexy dress. Seriously, he should blame her for being female instead. Heck, it's HER fault that she even has thighs.
