Questioning Realizations

It takes driving along a one-lane street with a close-tailing vehicle behind, to understand the meaning of "peer pressure".

It only takes a security guard to be rudely barking into your face today, and being impeccably polite to you tomorrow, to realize that "It's only a job".

It only takes a simple quoted phrase by the higher management, from a source with appreciable credibility, to taint the impressions built up by decades of delicate public relations.

It only takes two back-to-back gang-rape news reports to realize that this menace still has little antidotes to be relieved of its temptations.

It only takes a contemplation of Buddha's teachings of 'non-attachment' -- to not be attached to any worldly things -- to question whether our dreams of seeking and singling out a life partner, is abetting or deviating from this goal.
