Projected Drama

This morning, the projector refused to work (again). And for lecturers that particularly enjoy shining lines of text on the screen and pressing "Page Down" after every few breaths, naturally the failure of the projector resulted in total paralysis from the brain down.

Our lecturers have a penchant for calling up the technicians whenever anything doesn't work. And the technicians have a penchant for taking their time to arrive at the scene.

So what was my lecturer to do than to stand guard at the door, grabbing hold of everyone that entered, in the hope that one of them might be the fated technician.

Scene: At the door of the lecture hall

"Are you the technician?"
"Oh no, Doctor. I'm a student..."

"Are you the technician?"
"Err... bukan... student..."

"Are you the technician?!"
"Er, uh. Ah? Nope sorry..."

"Are you..."
"Student"
"...the..."
"Student!"
"...technician?"
"Makcik sapu lantai kat sini aje, cik..."

After forty minutes of waiting, the class was called off.
