A Smile's Worth
Just for fun, I love to look into a stranger's eyes and smile. I give the same look, the same smile, the same posture, etc -- but the response varies everytime. That's why it's fun. Plus, it takes away any hint of boredom.
The reactions I get ranges from:
1. That person smiling back. 4 out of 5 people will. Really makes my day :)
2. That person, initially not smiling, forcing his/her lips into a smile in return. It's weird sometimes when people you normally don't expect to smile at you, do. Some people look weird with a smile.
3. Giving a weird look, trying to figure out if he/she knows me?
4. Immediately breaking eye contact and look slightly away, pretending I'm not there.
5. I love the occasional shy gal that smiles back and stares at the ground.
6. Replying with a grimace, or stoic expression. Probably had a hard day. It's alright. There's always the next person to smile to...
And the best thing about smiling to people is, when at times I'm tired, bored or lonely and can't smile anymore, that person smiles back at me -- and I'm reminded how to be happy again.
By the end of this post, I hope you can do me a favour by smiling sweetly to the computer, if you've not already done so. (It might repay you by loading pages faster and not crashing that often. -- Not applicable to Windows OS.)
Ah. The simple pleasures of life that makes it worth living for.

wan yean - Bet when that happens you'll be nearby, smiling widely :)
Neat. People just don't smile anymore. Should continue doing so! (Mona Lisa looks scary though)
kopi - Maybe you can try smiling at people! Who knows you might make someone's day.
Hmm... I'm not sure if it's good advice...
Anyway, yeah sure will continue doing so! :)
